FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What measures will be taken to keep the children and staff safe?

Masks, education, and consistent sanitizing are the main keys to keeping our participants and staff safe. The After School room, along with all contents (tables, chairs, tablets, game controllers, etc.) will be sanitized daily.

Is a COVID-19 test necessary to enroll in the program?

A COVID-19 test is not necessary to enroll in the program, however, it is always strongly urged that everyone be tested regularly until the pandemic is further under control.

If I elect part-time After School services, may I select any days I wish during the week?

Once registered, part timers will be asked to select the days of the week they will be attending.  That selection must be maintained throughout the month but may be changed at the beginning of the following month.

I elected part-time After School services and one of the days I selected falls on a holiday.  Can my child come an alternate day to "make up" the missed day?

Yes, if one of the days you have selected falls on a holiday where the NYC Public Schools are closed, you may opt for a "make-up" day of your choice.  There are no discounts or refunds for unused make-ups.

If I elect part-time After School services but need a single occurrence one-day addition, may I add that day?

Yes, you may add an additional day for a fee of $30 which includes pick-up and escort service.  This fee is not reduced if not electing the pick-up option.

Are daily snacks distributed?

Daily snacks consisting of chips and juice boxes are distributed each day.  Additional snacks may be brought.

When are payments due?

The due date for all tuition payments is on the 1st of each month.  There is a 10-day grace period before late fees are assessed.

Is there a charge if I pick my child up late?

We ask all parents and guardians to arrange for children to be picked up no later than 6:30pm so that our staff may complete the daily deep sanitizing and steaming.  A 10-minute pick-up grace period will be extended to everyone.  Any child picked up after 6:40pm will be subject to a $20 fee per 20 minutes late.

For example, should you arrive to pick up your child at 6:45pm, you will be charged a $20 late fee.  Should you arrive to pick up your child at 7:01pm, you will be charged $40.

If we do not receive notification of a lateness, we will begin calling emergency contacts beginning at 6:45pm.
